Preschool is on wheels! As an extension of our transportation unit from last week, Kindertots was excited to welcome Ms. Helen Romesburg, the Valley Metro Transit Education Coordinator. She came in on Wednesday and spoke to the children about the Valley Metro Transportation system.
The preschoolers know what a yellow school bus is, but a city bus was something new for a lot of them. Ms. Helen led an interactive presentation on how to use a bus in a safe way. The kids pretended that they were bus riders. Ms. Helen even brought fake coins so the children could see how much it costs to use the bus to go from place to place. She read “The Wheels on the Bus” as the children sang along.
At the end of the demonstration the children were given their own Valley Metro Bus origami. Thank you Ms. Helen for the fun visit!
